MOSBOROUGH PRIMARY SCHOOL

Welcome to Mosborough Primary School's website.

Mosborough Primary is located on the south eastern edge of the city of Sheffield.
There has been a school in Mosborough for 300 years.
Our current building was opened just over seven years ago on a new greenfield site and currently has 300 children aged from 4+ - 11+.

'Pupils are considerate, mature and independent.' - OFSTED 2009

Our new school building has got excellent facilities. These include 11 classrooms, a purpose built ICT suite, hall, dining area, meeting room, courtyard, playing fields and school garden area.

All our children study the subjects in the national curriculum including literacy, numeracy, science, geography, history, art, PE, RE, PHSE, music, ICT and technology. The pupils in the juniors also have the opportunity to learn French during weekly lessons.

At Mosborough we aim to provide a happy and stimulating learning environment where children can grow in confidence and develop their knowledge and understanding of the world around them.

In addition to the subjects covered in the curriculum we offer a wide range of extra curricular activities.
These include playing a musical instrument (recorder, clarinet, violin, guitar or brass instrument), singing in the school choir, an art club, cross country running, gymnastics, table tennis, badminton, cricket and football.

'Outstanding care ensures that the school is highly inclusive.' - OFSTED 2009

This is a picture of our 'Story Chair' which was carved by a local artist called Jason Thompson. The design of the 'Chair' was based on the children's favourite story characters including the BFG. To see other views of the school click on the school logo below.
