History
Mosborough Primary School was founded in 1680 by a man called Joseph Stone who left some money in his will for 'the education of the poor children of Mosborough'.
The school was located on School Street, Mosborough until April 2001 when it moved to a new site approximately one quarter of a mile away.

The New Building
The new school building was constructed by Tilbury Douglas as part of Sheffield LEA's first PFI ( Private Finance Initiative). It has 11 clasrooms with other facilities and can accommodate up to 315 children.

The Old School Building
The original old school building was constructed in 1822 on School Street.Before this it is believed that the school was located in a house on the opposite side of the road which dates back to the time of Joseph Stone.
